Prismana and Umbrabow: Aniimo's rare variants explained
Aniimo has four rare variants: Prismana, Umbrabow, Dazzling and Shadow. The studio publishes official rates, and Prismana has a pity counter: after a certain number of attempts, you are guaranteed to get one.
Four variants, not one
The official wiki documents four appearance variants:
- Prismana — the most prominent, with an official pity counter.
- Umbrabow — a rare variant distinct from Prismana.
- Dazzling — a rare appearance variant.
- Shadow — a dark variant.
All of them change the creature’s appearance. No stat difference has been announced to date.
The pity counter is the good news
This is what sets Aniimo apart from many collection games: the studio publishes its rates, and Prismana has a pity counter. In other words, obtaining one is not left to pure chance forever: past a certain number of attempts, it is guaranteed.
What we do not know yet
Being clear about the limits beats padding:
- The spawn conditions for each variant in the open world are not publicly documented.
- We do not know whether some variants are tied to a region, time of day or weather.
- We do not know whether every species has all four variants.
These sections will be filled in as we record them in game, each with its verification date.
Meanwhile: improving your odds
- Keep your Ultras. A rare variant escaping because you only had Pros left is the worst outcome.
- Always break the Break gauge. See how to catch an Aniimo.
- Target dense regions. More encounters per hour means more chances. The region list shows the most populated zones.
- Write down what you see. If you spot a spawn condition, the community wants it: you can send it through the community page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Prismana a shiny?
It is the equivalent: a rare, visually distinct version of an Aniimo. The big difference is that an official pity counter exists.
How many attempts for a Prismana?
The studio publishes the rates and the pity threshold on its official rates page. We point you there rather than quoting a number we have not verified.
Are variants stronger?
Nothing suggests so. No stat difference has been announced between a normal creature and its variant.
